Eva Green, The New Bond Girl17 February 2006 French actress Eva Green will be helping James Bond fight off the bad guys in the upcoming Bond flick, Casino Royale.
There have been many rumors spinning around the entertainment industry about who play the female lead next to new Bond actor Daniel Craig. Many were expecting the announcement to happen soon, due to the fact that the film has already begun it?s filming.
Green?s previous job experience includes The Dreamers and Kingdom of Heaven. These roles helped her land the much sought-after role of Vesper Lynd in the film.
"After an extensive search we have found the perfect actress. Eva is one of France's most accomplished young actresses, now receiving international acclaim. She brings to the complex role of Vesper an exciting combination of enigmatic and seductive beauty," explained producers Barabara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson in a prepared statement.
In addition to naming Green to the cast, James Bond director Martin Campbell announced the actor who will play the next Bond villain. Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen whose previous work includes King Arthur will play the bad guy role of Le Chiffre in the 007 flick.
Casino Royale will offer a different look into Bond that others have not gotten into. The Ian Fleming novel offered it?s readers a glimpse into how Bond became a spy and by all reports the film version will do the same.
